As a Mainer I just left a message for Senator King pleading not to cave. Please please don’t. It will only get worse.
And if that doesn’t work, try 202-224-3121

Make no mistake: deploying troops in California isn't just about protests in Los Angeles. President Trump is attempting to write himself a blank check to use the military there and in other places where people speak out and exercise their rights. Trump using National Guard in LA is an 'abuse of power,' says national security expert
The ACLU's National Security Project director worries President Trump is 'writing himself a blank check' to use the military on civilians in other U.S. cities.

According to a study by Penn Wharton, Trump's "big, beautiful bill" that pays for tax breaks for the rich by cutting Medicaid leads to a $700 LOSS in income for the working class, a $1,000 LOSS in income for the poor & a $389,000 INCREASE for the top 0.1%.

We must defeat it.

Snowiest stretch in southern coastal Maine in awhile. Two more snowstorms on the way in the next week. Soon my 70 lb dog will be lost in the mounds.

The president can veto or support legislation. He can make recommendations to Congress. But he doesn't have the unilateral right to change laws.

Trump has very little respect for the rule of law & our Constitution. He is moving us toward authoritarianism.

We must stop him.

I lived in Los Angeles for two years and I've felt more earthquakes here in my home state of #Maine including the 4.1 this morning not far from work/home. My office is in the basement so it felt like a freight train going by (if there were tracks here). #maineearthquake
