It’s a false uphill. Stocks are up because the dollar grows weaker. That’s how I understand it. Takes more money to buy a thing when our money (faith in government) sucks.

I accept that eschewing reality to focus on happiness is a toxic behavior. Though, I’ve always referred to that practice as negligence. Why would someone else’s self positivity be toxic to an uninvolved second or third party? That’s how I see the term most often applied.
