In response to ICE’s execution of Renee Nicole Good & violence against our communities, the 50501 Movement is demanding the immediate abolition of ICE & is joining its partners in the Disappeared in America Coalition to announce ICE OUT For Good, a nationwide mobilization scheduled for 1/10 & 1/11.

We are led to believe that an insurance package is part of our compensation in the USA, by most employers. If we decline employer coverage, then why do we not get the monthly payment of $600 to $900 dollars (or more!) that our employers pay these insurance companies? Getting scammed out of 10 grand.

There’s no “gotcha” moment in this political climate. Nothing can be reasoned. No facts are changing anyone’s minds. Short of the unspeakable, we marginalized people weigh the other option: leave. Become refugees. I’d rather fight, but alongside what leadership?

Think hard about the phrase “toxic positivity” for a moment. What are the alternatives? What do you desire, other than joy? Why? Are you conflating positivity with glazing or gaslighting? What makes certain positivity toxic if it is actually positive? Who invented this phrase?What is this madness?!
