I've always positioned optimism as in "everything will be fine" against hope which is "if we show up and do our utmost there is a chance." But those words mean different things to different people. What's striking is how many safe & comfortable people want to give up while the most endangered fight.

9 nations have formed the Hague Group in solidarity with Palestine. They will uphold ICC arrest warrants, prevent weapons transfers to Israel, and prevent any weapons docking at their ports.
