Just hours before we were set to depart for Gaza, the 'Handala' was subjected to two dangerous incidents that may have been deliberate attempts to derail our mission and endanger lives. A full investigation is needed, but the circumstances are deeply troubling. In the early morning of July 20, a rope was discovered tightly wrapped around the boat's propeller. This likely would not have happened through normal operation or by accident, and raises serious concerns about interference with the vessel. We sail for the children of Gaza - for families who are enduring siege, starvation, and slaughter while governments of the world participate or do nothing. We sail to break Israel's illegal blockade and deliver life-saving aid, solidarity, and hope to a people abandoned by our governments but never forgotten by us, the people, who believe in justice and will never stop fighting for it. We call on the international community, human rights organizations, and people of conscience everywhere to condemn these acts, demand accountability, and ensure safe passage for the 'Handala' - a civilian boat carrying medicine, baby formula, and stuffed animals for the children of Gaza. We have reason to believe these were calculated attempts to harm our crew and obstruct our mission, though we await the outcome of a full investigation. We remain undeterred. We will not be intimidated. We will not be silenced. And we will not stop. Also on the morning of July 20, a truck arrived to deliver fresh water to the boat. However, the container was labeled sulfuric acid and in fact contained a corrosive chemical substance. A crew member was splashed on the leg and sustained chemical burns. Another crew member, upon detecting a strong chemical odour, opened the container and suffered burns to his hand.

Christian Smalls reports there have been multiple sabotage attempts on the freedom flotilla ship Handala, including a tank of *acid* that was delivered to them instead of water for the showers and kitchen which burned two crew members.
Breaking News !! There have been 2 attempts to sabotage 'Handala' already. Despite having 24/7 watch, the rotors of the #Handala were tied up with rope! They've used divers to incapacitate the boat before. Then we were delivered a tank of ACID instead of water for our boat That water was for our showers and kitchen. It burned 2 crew members. It could have eroded pipes and even worse, burnt us all. We're now awaiting fresh water, causing a 2hr delay before we set sail to Gaza = Why is Israel afraid of a boat full of Baby Formula, Meds and Toys!?
