Still a fun fantasy read for me, I liked that more character and places were involved and the plot felt like it got a bit more complex in this one.
After finishing this one I degraded Godkiller back to 4.0/5 because this one just was better but not good enough for 4,5.

Sometimes the right oportunityjust arrives and forces yoz to finaly cosplay someone you wanted to Do at somepoint anyway

also: man seth dickinson really loves to write about women making the tough choices and trying to justify their crimes as the right thing.

like at most times I wasn't sure how I would rate it but... it did something to me. Made me really want to dig my teeth in there and just explore everything and think about it even if it at times felt like work and I had to take a break in the middle of the book because I fell in a slump

This was probably the first real hard sci-fi book I read and half of it was just exhausting to get trough because it was so much set up and buildng stuff up. But like the first 20% caught me so good and all the build up paid of in the last 40% ? And the concepts all intrigued me
