Well to be fair, this is not the USA holding the gun. I think this is when someone has fallen thru the ice and now we're "negotiating" over the price of our help.

Negotiating? Is that what you call blackmail these days? Seems to me that they told him they would help end the war for 50% of the mineral rights. This, coming from a guy who has broken every treaty and reneged on every deal and doesn’t pay what he owes.

Ukraine owes the US nothing, and talking about how the US would benefit off of strong arming an ally into giving up their own rights after being invaded by another country who was, like the US, sworn to protect Ukraine's sovereignty is vile.
