You know how liquor stores always bring out the weirdest shit during the holidays -- in gift boxes w/shot glasses. This one tastes like a Mounds Bar without all the sugar, but I have to say that when mixed with cola and dash of ground cinnamon on top, this is actually quite good... very holiday-ish.

I'd never tried the green cactus pear until yesterday. I always thought they were unripe red ones and be bitter or tart. Turns out they're a different variety are sweet like a bartlett pear. So I bought some to make a green variety of my red cactus pear jelly - we'll see how it turns out. 🌵

I mentioned last week that I was surprised that this tree still had leaves. Here it is today (12/13) and they are still hanging on. If you blow on them like you would a birthday candle they'll drop, but otherwise they're not intending to leave. This is unusual for sure.
