This is the same problem we currently have in the US: Housing being bought up by private equity firms then raising prices.
Remember this?
The 2008 financial crisis was a global economic downturn triggered by the collapse of the U.S. housing bubble, which led to a surge in mortgage defaults.

All true. I have acquaintances as well who are in the “cult”. They are glued to certain news media and social media where truth has no meaning and propaganda is always the word of the day. They are caught up in algorithms on their computers that hypnotize and brainwash. Infiltrate their media.

Americans sure love to hold captive, “relocate”, or ban groups of humans: Native Americans, Black People, Japanese People, Muslim People, Immigrants, now Homeless People. Forgive me for those I have missed.

All of the above. Every note of every song.

Great photo captures. It’s hard to portray the extent of emotion and energy surrounding a concert.

I may borrow (steal) your phrase “society’s campfire”.

Not in Toronto but I did get my flu shot today. I’m a little out of it so I’m watching movies for the rest of the evening.

Someone should paint this. It’s a remarkable capture. I already have with my brain and my eyes. My hands and brushes have yet to take on the mastery required, they are lazy or afraid.

Continued repetition of the statement “we might not have a free and fair election in 2028” sets an expectation that this is something that can’t be stopped. Continued arm flailing instead of acting is not an acceptable path. Where are the ideas and bold actions?

I love this little sedum gem for my rock gardens. It nestles into cracks, creeps over rocks and conquers barren soil.
I would be torn seeing it here, undecided as to whether to “rescue” it or let it remain giving color to grey.

You can sleep tomorrow night. I am so jealous. The city lights here are too bright for us to see the Northern lights.

Fake it till you make it and then do the right thing.

Purslane. An edible plant that grows wild everywhere and has more nutrients than all of the other things we place in salads. It grows much faster in your garden than most of your vegetables but we pull it out and toss it on the weed pile. During the apocalypse, search for purslane (or dandelions).

Gorgeous idea! Do we even have those in the US?
