i can't resist becoming friends with every jumping spider i see, it's a NEED. i want to be more able to identify bugs/arachnids exactly on sight. i'm fairly good at estimation via identifiable features, but the etymology nerd inside me craves to be like "wow! 🤓 genus [...], species [...]" on sight 😭

aka i have a new jumping spider roommate on my houseplant! :> not sure what exact jumpie it is, but the repetive motion with its hind legs makes me think it's some kind of plain peacock spider? i've never seen any other jumpie do that with those back legs before
