aka i have a new jumping spider roommate on my houseplant! :> not sure what exact jumpie it is, but the repetive motion with its hind legs makes me think it's some kind of plain peacock spider? i've never seen any other jumpie do that with those back legs before

the first picture was how i found it. in the dark, i completely thought it was a clump of leaves and almost missed it. took a triple-take, got down close, and was like HOLY SHIT !! it's a that miracle neither i nor my dog stepped on it. when the rain stopped, i placed it on a safe tree!

i found this pretty thing trying to hide under my door on a rainy night earlier this month (there's a large gap beneath the door, so it wasn't injured)! i love moths with all my heart ;;;;;
