And I’m saying this form a sorta Christian perspective, like guys, western Christianity has so many problems, I don’t think Arianism or not viewing Jesus as a deity is one of them to be honest.

Or my father saying that a Christian youth festival was still great and holy despite the founder being a predator around young men, and saying instant miracle healing was legit and generally an unsafe environment

It’s not even the most nuts thing they’ve ever said like bringing up the fall when I came out at as bi or using them/they pronouns sometimes, (gender is complicated, but present as a cis woman) or my dad once saying that he thought belief in evolution was a ‘matter of opinion’

Which is for fairly obvious reasons not very helpful as while I acknowledge I do have very real problems with my phone if we’re talking English evangelicals (there is alot of overlap with all the missionary stuff)

My mother in the middle of a argument straight up said what I was saying was of the devil once. And thinks that I need to be ‘freed from lies’ when talking about my phone dependency, or any mental health problem.
