Heartily agree. Diagnosis can help you get teachers and administrators to give need-based accommodations like extra test time, being allowed to use a laptop for taking notes for a kid with grapho-motor issues, or being excused from high anxiety inducing exercises like peer critiques.

OMG Solidarity to your abscessed area from my hip muscle repair post-op phlegmon. I'm getting clean up surgery this week. BODIES! Omg, I love you, my body, it's great to have a vehicle that moves my brain around in the world, but could you knock it off with the inflammatory response thing?

Ha! I remember when we moved here from the East coast when I was just five, and my mom asking a gardener in his yard as we passed "WHAT is that plant? It looks like something out of a Dr. Seuss book! The one with flowers that look like red bottle brushes?" "It's a bottle brush plant," he replied.

Spikes are sexy, and kitten heels ARE adorbs, But I can HEAR my torn hip muscles weeping if I even shoot a glance at thin heels. Sigh. I'll just gaze at the women who can wear them with awe. Mostly I tool around in Ariat Fat Baby boots because cute and easy to slip on, but they stop at size 11.

Mm. Try platforms? They give much more stability, and if you choose them right, the actual rise between heel and toe can be quite low, while still lifting you off the ground. I'm old and disabled and short, and platforms are the only heels I can tolerate.
