After a few hours of hiding in her carrier, Juno has progressed to trying to escape the new spare room. This stage took a few days when we first got her so she's being very brave.

This is my first ever copy of Dracula, dog-eared and perfect. My great-grandad saved up coupons from the Daily Mail to get me all the books in The Children's Golden Library. She may not be pretty, but she's special.

I have a vivid memory of buying this book to take on holiday with me when I was about 16, and lying in a tent in a field in Yorkshire trying to copy some of the images into my sketchbook and feeling so inspired.

This is my favourite texture rock. It has ✨texture✨. Whenever I want ✨texture✨ in my graphite, I press my putty rubber into this rock and then dab it over the graphite. It leaves lovely stippled ✨texture✨.

I finished the stays today!!!! I don't want to post any pictures of them actually on my body because people will get weird about it, but look!!! I made this with my own hands!!! I even made the busk!!! I hand sewed basically all of it!!!

My plastic Singer sewing chest finally died after about a decade, so I got myself this cute new one from Hobbycraft. I am fighting so hard not to go back and buy the backpack version of this for sewing on the go because nhhhhhhhhhhhh preeettttyyyyyyyyy

While on holiday I found this gravestone in North Berwick made entirely out of iron, which is something I've never seen before. From a cursory glance the son of John Hamilton and Helen Bertram was an iron moulder, which explains the unusual choice.

Also it's mine and my partner's anniversary today and we went to Hexham, and I found and bought these cased tintypes! I've never seen a cased tintype before, let alone one with a full and intact case! It even has the clasp! They're beautiful and I love them.
