i am so tired of work that doesn't let you live your life, and during a time when not only do i have to be with family, but when i am really struggling with things around the job.

so i'm taking fmla and gonna lose pay but i have to at this point.

the vasanta experience is spending every round prepping 5 scenarios, only 2 of which might be useful, only to have everyone out of range, then go "reach spell. needle darts. blindness flat check. rolled a 4, nevermind."

or, random incredible crit with a spell that warps an enemy's senses.

someone filled in for me a few weeks ago when i was out and last session i asked how it went, he replied "i just cast cantrips, i had no idea how anything worked, also your character's nearly dead, sorry."

it's honestly VERY funny how obvious they are just from the username (i say as someone whose username was an unpronounceable string of consonants for two decades)

i was talking to my mom's doc about a new med for her, and asked "it's not like (med i take) is it?"

him: "oh not at all. man, you take that? what weird things happen to you?"

me: "i see patterns, forget words, and i can't feel my nose sometimes."

him: "oof, sounds about right"

i haven't actually had this conversation yet with my tech, who is just the loveliest person, but the face he is going to give me when he realizes i am yet again walking in the door with yet another, separate ukulele is going to be one of despair that is going to crush my spirit so i'm practicing.

yeah i know there's real problems in the world but like...i'm venting cause these ones are easily solvable if people do their jobs, and they've cost me time and money fixing their mistakes. man if this next one's a bust that's a yahtzee of nat 1s and at that point idk man.

today i just got shipped the incorrect model of another which was supposed to replace the kala. so now we're shipping that back too.

i've spent so much trying to get one good instrument, and after all of this, it looks like i'll have to play the lousy one I have had all this time.

for future reference:

the kala solid acacia line has a defective pickup that buzzes at specific frequencies, essentially giving the instrument a wolf tone.

one single ohana was broken and a store didn't fix it to my standards. that's on the store not ohana, which is usually good.
