Amen. One Republican, admittedly lame-duck with nothing to lose, capable of speaking truth to power.

Trump was convicted of fraud. If he is going to denaturalize those convicted of fraud (i.e. himself), it might be the solution to all of our problems. DHS can send an actual fraudster to CECOT for a change.

One question that every MAGA partisan who supports Trump unconditionally should be asking themselves:

NYT: '[Rubio puts] the origins of serif typefaces in Roman antiquity, saying that they are “generally perceived to connote tradition, formality and ceremony.”'

The return to Times New Roman may just be a stop along the way to Fraktur, another ancient font connoting tradition and ceremony.

Try to imagine the state of mind of someone capable of cognitive dissonance on this level. "As a survivor, sexual abuse is deeply personal to me and I demand that abusers be brought to justice." Also, "I will defend this particular sexual predator, to the death." [paraphrase] From the Guardian:

I probably shouldn't, but I take a measure of pride in this headline from the Guardian. They're used to folks just rolling over and that's what they expect.

The Nobel Committee must be tied in knots. On one hand Trump has single-handedly ended seven wars (though not Ukr/Rus or Gaza, the ones he campaigned on). On the other, he directs the US Navy to summarily blow ships out of the water and demands a Dept. of War. [from the Guardian]

While I don't dispute the House Ethics committee's findings, I do find it a bit rich to announce this penalty against Ocasio-Cortez for a $250 meal and couple of thousand for dress rental on the same day as Trump's $10 million tax-payer funded Scottish golf course promotion trip. Ethics for thee...

This is a remarkable graphic. Significant federal assistance to Democratic leaning counties has largely remained steady over the last two and a half decades. It has skyrocketed for Repub. leaning. The havoc Trump is wreaking disproportionately affects his own supporters.

If the entirety of an organization with over 20k employees is "working against you", any normal, non-egomaniacal person might wonder, "am I the problem? Do I need to adjust?" Not a Trumpist zealot though...

Exciting delivery this week - we got our copies of Nancy's new book! This is the culmination of many years of hard work, extensive research, and deep thinking. I'm looking forward to reading it, though afterward I think my head will likely resemble that of the poor fellow on the cover.

Amazing screen grab from the Guardian (Trump discussing Gaza plans). Get used to seeing this sort of tableau regularly over the next 4 years.
