Eighty years ago today, over 7,000 prisoners of the German Nazi camp #Auschwitz, including some 700 children, were liberated by the soldiers of the Soviet Army.

1,689 days of murder, pain, suffering, and humiliation were over.
Today, we all remember. We must keep remembering.

KNOW THIS: Altadena is a predominantly African-American community community where Black families were redlined into. It’s not the Palisades, but losing homes, livelihoods & generational wealth is equally devastating.

Communities targeted by redlining have historic reasons to distrust government.

Endlessly grateful for Carol and her coverage. History will be, too.

People love sharing the memes about how we need to remember service members who aren’t home for Thanksgiving. Hell, some of my best memories of my service was Thanksgiving down range, on duty, or overseas. Usually the food was great, the laughs were loud, and the camaraderie appreciated.
