I am curious about things (except cricket). I like animated conversations that are silly or serious. I embrace people who make think or laugh or see things from a new perspective. I love learning from and with others. Human + SL avatar.
I musical bingoed this week - and even after a day with lots of bleurgh it lifted my spirts. You are allowed to shazam (coz it's bingo not trivia). I recommend the experience.

Whenever someone needs to mention the current President of the United States they should only refer to them as 'The president of the United States'. Why? It adds weight and gravity to statements about their actions as the president + it stops the ego rush they get at the mention of their name

Due to some off-tangent all-encompassing work in recent weeks (and a visit with my aunt) I am a little behind and out of touch on the Anthropic settlement to authors. I am catching up. Here's just one of many updates/explanations of where things are at www.authorsalliance.org/2025/09/07/t...

Albania has an AI bot as a Minister. For real. www.reuters.com/technology/a...
Albania appoints AI bot as minister to tackle corruption
A new minister in Albania charged to handle public procurement will be impervious to bribes, threats, or attempts to curry favour. That is because Diella, as she is called, is an AI-generated bot.

Crocs. Uggs. Apple. Some people defend them with the same energy others defend democracy.

My colleague is passionate about Crocs. Their enthusiasm makes me want to listen and I am not a fan.

What is your Crocs? A thing you love that makes people laugh or groan together - and that builds community?

This dramatic headline in The Advertiser caught my eye as I went by:

"Evil cook gets 33 years as it is revealed she was born in Adelaide: JUSTICE IS SERVED"

(It reads like she doing time because she was from Adelaide not because she served up some toxic mushrooms)

“Over the past 20 years, Paris has undergone a major physical transformation, trading automotive arteries for bike lanes, adding green spaces and eliminating 50,000 parking spaces.

Part of the payoff has been invisible — in the air itself.”

Leadership, strategy, real action, common sense. #Paris
Paris said au revoir to cars. Air pollution maps reveal a dramatic change.
Air pollution fell substantially as the city restricted car traffic and made way for parks and bike lanes.
