Making magic happen in Kotlin #MakeGoodThings
Just checked! My vibe coded Android Studio plugin, Mako Drawable Importer –that I build a while ago has just hit 1,000 downloads 🚀

I've got messages from people on Stackoverflow and GitHub issues about how useful the plugin is with some feature suggestions.

By far still my most used Siri Shortcut!

Basically doing something Apple allows me to do until it removed it just to please China.

There was a reality check for me when I was looking up on Stat Counter for browser market share worldwide.

Firefox is not even the 3rd largest browser engine anymore, it's 4th and at a measly 2.26%!

My information has been severely outdated and felt that Firefox is on its last leg.

Ads on Google Maps is getting out of hand.

Migrated my popular King’s Cup game to KMP & tackled localisation for 27 languages. Tried per-app language prefs (Android 13/iOS 13) — UX was clunky.

Built a ‘best of both worlds’ solution + a workflow that makes multi-language updates painless.

Bonus: some time-saving hacks at the end.

Trying to Google search something as simple as Granola AI note taking, it doesn't even list the company's website.

Not even at the 2nd page.

Google is truly dead as a search engine company.

You would need to search for "King's Cup - Drinking Game" in order to get rid of those unrelated sponsored apps.

Google has strayed away from being a good search engine and into this despicable ad filled landscape.

Google Play Store in 2025 is just so broken, I just typed in "King's Cup" - it's showing me a bunch of unrelated and misleading apps before eventually reaching the app I am looking for.

Just finished Rory Sutherland's Alchemy, there's something made an impression on me.

We always talked about how important critical thinking is, thinking outside of the box and being creative.

In reality, we don't reward traits like these. Instead we ridicule them for being stupid and incompetent.

Alas, I went back to the drawing board again. Just sticking with the iconic crown and cup look.

Polishing a bit more, now we have 4 crown spikes symbolising 4 Kings in a deck and rounded the cup to also feel like it's a person wearing the crown.

I must say, I'm quite happy with the refreshed look!

Then, I thought it just feel fun. Felt like a mental wellness app. I've tried to add some fire behind it.

After all, the alternative name of King's Cup is Ring of Fire.

Initially, I've opted to just go zen and minimalist. Now, it has become a coffee cup instead.

Spent the night to update my King's Cup app logo, this was the former "French Fries" logo that served the app for the past 8 years (time flies)!

Finally, a billion dollar company decided to release a little known app that is WhatsApp after 16 years.

Hadn't gotten any attention for my Stackoverflow question, just started a 500 bounty (the highest amount I can set).

Let's see how it goes, it's really ashamed if it gets no traction. It'll further prove that the party has left the town and they're at OpenAI's new fancy ChatGPT.

Placeholders are always important, you might not need it most of the time. But when it does, at least you can fail gracefully.

iPhone 15 vs. Fujifilm X100VI, it's truly night and day. For the curious eyes, I'm using PRO Negative 160C Fujifim recipe.

Even at your pricing website, seems that something big has gone down.

@proton.me it's a bad look that you have a status page, but it doesn't even work at a crucial time like this.

We have to rely on downdetector that crowdsource reports to see whether anyone is facing the same issue.

Meetup is indispensable when you are finding like minded people in your area, especially in a foreign country.

Their recent pricing changes is troubling. I don't mind paying for things that provides value.

But, for $10 per month it's a bit too much. Especially in this subscription fatigue climate.

I'm optimistic about SigmaOS and glad there there is an alternative if Arc goes kaput or Chromium overreaching its control.

If they can improve on their pricing strategy, I'm more than happy to support a good product as along the pricing makes sense.

Currently, it's the free tier and the extremes.
