Some critics lament new buildings being disproportionately rentals. But ownership can't be regulated by the land use plan or zoning. And all housing types are needed as rungs on the ladder to home ownership, for those who prefer that.

There's lots to love about Ann Arbor, but what does the best version of the city look like? Speakers will challenge your perspectives, illustrate why this is a watershed moment in Ann Arbor's trajectory, and show you how you can make a city that's affordable, sustainable, and fun!

Thurs. 9/18:
Why is it so hard to rent or buy in Ann Arbor? What are the barriers to walking, biking, or taking transit? Designed for newcomers to housing, planning, and transportation safety activism, these expert-led conversations will cover the basics of how we got here — and where we're going.

732 Lawrence is a beautiful 3,000 sq. ft. building with 6 homes. 1135 Martin is a beautiful 3,564 sq. ft. building with 1 home. Despite our housing crisis, only the single-unit home is allowed in most of A2.

Legalize missing middle homes that fit right in with their neighborhood.

We urge a No vote from #A2Council. If it must pass, we have suggested ways to improve this resolution.
