I don't think so, we went into work everyday and even went down the pub during every weekly bomb scare, controlled explosion of bins sometimes contained "IEDs" as they like to call them now, for 15 years. The cordon line set by police on air street was the best.

This Isolationism just reminds us of the 1930s, on a short term 10-20yr positive if they build LNG plants that would selfishly help the UK/EU/Asia dependence on gas until we have got our act together & ofcourse global oil prices while OPEC+ still likes turning the tap on/off.

I'm old enough to remember when polio ripped through the globe and put my six-year-old friends into iron lungs.
We dutifully lined up at school to get polio shots (without the howling of governors or anti-vaxxers). And we eradicated polio.
