Wait, hold on, these were 3D the whole time? But you're also swapping textures with the angle changes, so maybe it's just clever layering instead? Cool aesthetic either way.

It's a shame, because I'd absolutely be willing to give them money if their subscription terms weren't so weirdly predatory. Your monthly credits don't rollover? You can only download stuff you paid for if you are actively subscribed? Fuck off with that shit.

Someone already mentioned texture.ninja, texturemax.com also has a decent collection.

The democratization of art and creativity is coming along nicely I see.

Coin toss between either this or the Planescape Torment box art showing up, really.

I'm glad they didn't shy away from making the tagline as evocative as possible, modern gaming PR take note.

This kind of performance friendly trickery really is its own kind of artistry, looking forward to that blog post!

Scaled down those screenshots look like they're straight out of a 90s FMV game, so they definitely understood the assignment.

This is some real 'capitalism subsumes every critique of itself' type shit.

Gameplay is the best it's been in the series, but that wasn't enough to keep me from dropping the game after they depowered yet another female character before killing her of. Felt gross, manipulative and unearned.

It really is shocking not just how bad the writing is, but also how much of it there is. Brevity is the soul of wit, and this game has neither.

Yeah, those look good! Is there any chance of you adding some residential style windows (and maybe doors?) in the future as well?

And it didn't even need ray-tracing to do it! Great soundtrack too.

Also this game is more than a decade-and-a-half old, what the fuck.

Congrats, these look great!

Oh man, Bioforge! Can't wait to beat up that blue guy with his own severed arm again (it's okay I fed him some meat first).

Which are still very much worth reading, by the way! Gorgeous art and wildly imaginative stories (and plenty of cool looking spaceships), and here and there it's more than a little obvious how it ended up influencing stuff like Star Wars.

They nailed the art direction in this, then completely whiffed by turning Valerian and Laureline into a pair of callous assholes. Such a weird-ass decision considering how charming the original comics are.

This is actually made in something like Bryce, yeah? There's something about the way lighting and reflections work in early 3D software that just hits different.

Man, you weren't kidding about the comments. Considering all the adult content the site already allows, complaints about censorship are just a really, really thin veil for hateful bullshit pretty much every time, huh?

I remember the reception to Rebel Galaxy Outlaw being weirdly mixed, but I had no idea people were being that shitty about it, damn. At least Travis' pivot to writing gave us Legends and Lattes, and now I'm even more happy to see the dude is thriving.

Looks good! The first shot especially reminds me of Kingpin, which was not a very good game but had some very cool vibes.
