No leader should face intimidation and harassment for carrying out their role. The past few weeks have been incredibly difficult for many of our women council leaders who have had to deal with an unacceptable level of abuse. We all need to call this behaviour out. #internationalwomensday

So sorry to hear @shonarobison.bsky.social will not be returning to Holyrood. It has been a huge privilege to have worked closely during my time with @cosla.gov.uk Wishing Shona the very best for her future and look forward to working together during her last year in government.
Shona has made such a formidable contribution to the SNP, to Parliament and to the Scottish Government.

She has been a great friend, colleague and ally to me and I am sorry she will stand down at the election.

I send my warmest wishes to her for all that lies ahead.
