A few days ago I released a patch which replaces the unhinged movement system in Tex Murphy: Under A Killing Moon with mouselook + WASD. Turns out the sequel is pretty much the same, so here's a mod for The Pandora Directive.

Depressing that the solution offered by the commissioner is more surveillance. A "range of behavioural and account signals", which is definitely scientific and not just blocking everyone marked as liking Roblox and Beyblades
Excerpt from the letter from Julie Inman Grant to Sunita Bose: Furthermore, many of your member companies have indicated that while blanket verification of all Australian users may be one method, it is also acknowledged to be much more privacy invasive method than some of the others currently used by platforms through a range of behavioural and account signals. So, if a platform were to take that step, one which the legislation does not require, that would be provocative and clearly raise concerns.

The title is "Pretzel Pete" in a slightly wacky font, with the last 'e' in Pretzel replaced with one of the game's many living pretzels (identifiable by the eyes filling the pretzel loops) you have to rescue. The byline is "The Game For Hot, Twisted, Action." The box features a smiling man in a red hat and white t-shirt holding a net, a grimacing man with a 1920's weightlifter mustache wearing a red sweater and suspenders, and a blonde woman wearing a tie-top and cutoffs. The game is ESRB rated E for Everyone and published by XSIV Games. The back of the box. The headline says "Are You Gonna Let a Half-Baked Baker Rule the World?". Today I learned about "The Quest", a formerly lost CD from 1995 produced by Kidsoft and animated by Cartoon Network Studios. I don't know what the brief was, but for some reason the intro is full of... Myst jokes? Was this meant to be a little something for the adults?

Just realised it's been ten whole years since the first commit of this little guy.

Mr. Crowbar started out as a framework for parsing/writing binary formats, then slowly grew to become a bench full of hand tools for dumping and scanning things from the command line.

In about 40 mins (1100 UTC): I will be unboxing this pristine copy of BAR-MIN-SKI: CONSUMER PRODUCT, the unseen prequel to the Encyclopedia of Clamps by De-Lux'o Consumer Productions, forever ruining its value. We'll try and make it work in ScummVM.

On the bright side, I -finally- managed to fix the timer code in my DOS adventure game engine, so the system timer can run at 16KHz (without crashing!) instead of the miserly DOS default of 18.2Hz. Which is fast enough to abuse the PC speaker to play back sampled audio.
