My defense against losing my mind—committing to learning a new skill. I am taking up the printmaking form I didn’t learn in school—block printing, both the Japanese Mokuhanga style using wood and the western style using linoleum. This is linoleum. The Japanese style is harder!

It looks like Mr dumpster fire got rid of half of the Dept of Ed so if you want federal student aid you should file your FAFSA asap or it might get caught in a huge backlog.

The maga propaganda is that the Dept of Ed dictates radical curriculum in schools. The DoE manages student loans for college, Title 1 funding, and special ed.

Trump is targeting the DoE to root out radical ideologies but its goal is allowing poor kids the same chance as rich kids.

Lil’ donnie is evidently sick of making tedious policy decisions and is going to spend his time picking toady “artists” to honor at the Kennedy Center—he decided he wants to run it now. Why does he have time? He’s decided to let Musk run the government while he becomes a figurehead.

I’ve been a fan forever—starting with Munro and then The Phantom Tollbooth. If you’ve never read it, you’re in for a great ride. Farewell, rest in peace.
