Circling back to the original question, confirming one lab test with another is sometimes necessary. Your positive test was probably a screen, and confirming that result with a diagnostic is 100% appropriate.

So, if we start with the strainer, we will catch all the coins and a few of the larger snails. If we then use our highly specific eyes to examine what we strained, we can exclude the snails. We end up with the best result – we bring home all the coins and no snails! 5/n

We could use our eyes to easily find visible coins - we’ll miss buried coins but won’t accidentally grab many snails. Or we could use a strainer which will catch nearly all the coins but also some snails. 3/n
