I don’t know if he’s necessarily an obscure character, but I think that a lot of people (myself included) forget that he’s one of the main character’s dad (therefore obscure dad…maybe?). Also, this man is super zonkable. Like, peak “he should be on all fours barking like a dog and gooning” zonkable.

By the way, if anyone was curious what character I was referring to, it was an old Icelandic fisherman named Gunnar from the point-and-click puzzle game Nancy Drew: Sea of Darkness. He’s grouchy, but with a heart of gold and a lot of trauma; ie. the perfect man.

The depiction of Santa in Frosty the Snowman is kinda the ideal. Peak male performance. Just a jolly, balding, short-stack daddy. Soft, rotund, huggable. Fully bouba on the scale of kiki to bouba. Massive fluffy beard? Yes please. I’ve had it with (admittedly sexy) buff Santas! Return to tradition!
