Unless a car or van wants to park up on said footpath, then the pedestrians must make room for the Kings of our Public Spaces

For me, after the entirety of the city centre from the cathedral to the docks, from Forster Street to the Crescent, it has to be Salthill Village, from O'Reillys to O'Connors, at least.
Also Woodquay and the Docks

Meanwhile, no actual work needs to be done by anyone as even the #GMATS is being held up by the #RingRoad

The #Galway #GCRR has the air of a design akin to the #Salthill bike lane fiasco. Councils present an unacceptable proposal knowing it doesn't meet our needs, and that even if APB don't see it for the flawed design that it is, others will and it will be help up in JR and appeals.

One well-known cause of peak-hour traffic is the school run. When schools are closed, congestion drops dramatically, especially on the west side of the city. Yet neither local authority has studied school travel, so the scale of this effect has NEVER been measured.

The same deal at school drop off/pick up time all around Scoil Íde and Scoil Fhursa and between Salerno and GLTC.

That would be amazing, thanks for looking into it Alan! Along Salthill from Go Dutch to the dance school, Devon Park, between Knocknacarra Florists and PJs, you'd rarely walk on the footpath without having to work around a car or having one pull up alongside you (just some sample street view egs)

Hi Alan, I would love to see some more pedestrian crossings in Salthill. From (what was) Rabbittes shop, there is no pedestrian crossing until Salthill Church.
Would also love to see more kerbside bollards to keep cars off footpaths!
