What, exactly, are we celebrating tomorrow?

Our cutting off healthcare to the needy to enrich the greedy?

Our new concentration camps?

Our dying economy?

Our ditching due process?

Our corruption?

Our broken legislature?

Our corrupt SCOTUS?

Our ridiculous buffoon president? #FourthOfJuly

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

Your hairs would turn gray instantly if you could hear all the private threats Donald Trump made and the lies he told to get the ten GOP holdouts to fold.

The billionaires of this country just garroted America, and they had big, shit-eating grins on their faces as they did so.

For those among the citizenry who cheer this, who claim to thrive on "liberal tears and rage", who are stoked to bring misery and suffering, who see empathy as a sin and kindness as weakness...

I don't want a word from you. Not a fucking one. Have the life you voted for.

The MAGA Republicans just passed one of the most vile bills in the history of this country, so this is our message to all who supported it.

It will devastate Americans.

When this evil bill hits you, don't blame Biden, Obama, or anyone else.

See you in ‘26 and ‘28, MAGA.

LISTEN TO THIS SHIT: Mark Kelly didn’t name names—but he did say this:

One GOP Senator said Medicaid cuts were fine because “they’ll get over it.”
Another, told it would cost lives, said:
“We’re all gonna die anyway.”

And this party still dares to call itself pro-life.

I just forced a vote to try to strip out Republicans' defund Planned Parenthood provision from their Big Ugly bill.

Republicans voted NO. They voted to shutter some 200 health clinics and deny women basic health care like cancer screenings & birth control.

KILL THE BILL!

The White House says voting against this bill is a betrayal of the President.

But voting for it is actually a betrayal of hardworking Americans who need access to health care and grocery stores in rural communities.

Who are they going to put first? The choice should be easy.

We now have a concentration camp in Florida.

Stop pretending any of this is normal.

If you claim to be a good person and you're not outwardly opposing this regime, you're not a good person.

Fully fund FEMA grants to secure emergency preparedness
Text SIGN PVBILE to 50409 — States are sounding the alarm over critical funding delays and potential cuts to FEMA grant programs that support essential emergency preparedness and response capabilities across the country. With the agency blowing past statutory deadlines to open grant applications and the Department of Homeland Security now requiring review of all grants over $100,000, there are grave concerns about the future availability of this vital funding.   FEMA grants provide the vast majority of emergency management budgets for many states, with some relying on federal dollars for over 90% of their funding. This money enables core functions like staffing emergency managers, providing training, and securing necessary equipment - allowing communities to prepare for and respond to disasters effectively. Cuts or delays threaten to undermine this crucial work.   The impacts could be devastating, especially in rural and lower-income areas that heavily depend on these grants to maintain basic emergency services. After Hurricane Helene, a scathing report criticized North Carolina's over-reliance on federal grants but acknowledged the state lacked resources to fund emergency operations itself. Stripping this funding with no transition plan risks leaving communities ill-prepared for the next crisis.   As representatives, you must act urgently to ensure the full and timely funding of FEMA's grant programs. Failing to do so jeopardizes public safety and could cost lives when the next disaster strikes. Provide robust funding, streamline approval processes, and work towards a responsible plan to sustainably support emergency preparedness nationwide. The security of our communities depends on your leadership.

Today, the Supreme Court said our fight goes forward.

Republicans want to change the rules so their far-right donors can buy elections. Democrats are united to stop them.
