Something I was actually able to get working in the old pixel art / final fantasy tactics build of VR Tactics was Gaffgarion's shadowblade ability. I ended up haing to extract each piece of it and re-animate it in Unity, build similar effects, etc. Pretty proud of it even if I wont end up using it.
