I used to write about film, then I produced movies no one watched. Now I draw things for a living.

Street Fighter is a work of satirical genius on a par with Verhoven's Starship Troopers, made all the better because as far as I can tell, no one involved, including the writers, director and producers were aware that was what they were making.

Between him, coffezilla, and a few others, there is some genuinely great journalism/reporting being done, with fearlessness, independence and a willingness to cover uncomfortable realities in an understandable way. Its a shame so few major outlets are doing the same.

I'm glad someone else has noticed this. I've been following his coverage of the Ukraine War for what must be a couple of years now, and its fascinating seeing how he's clung to his moral compass so strongly, both on Trump and on Netenyahu.

Hopefully there are a lot more people like him in the US

There may also be an element of leaders following these orders to remain in post, with a view that refusing now might mean they're not able to stop something worse later.

Is that a case of them not refusing, or it just not being reported though?

Yeah, i started at the very tail end of RT, left at the beginning of 3rd, then came back around the end of 7th, and it feels so much more friendly, welcoming and exciting. Even the prices aren't that hideous when buying through 3rd parties.

I do miss the old blister packs though.
