A colorful form of Heuchera micrantha var. micrantha (rare for the varieta) I collected in Enumclaw, accompanied by Sedum spathulifolium from Vancouver Island that I got from Paul Symington

Lewisia nevadensis blooming today.

Purchased at the NWNARGS sale last year as L.pygmaea.

Though this year they did have real L.pygmaea, not many though. I got the last one of a handful.

So cool to live in a place where Lysichiton americanus is native and common.

The NWNARGS sale was a pretty good one this year. Even without the vendors, the selection was pretty sweet.

Finally saw canvasbacks for the first time yesterday! Who knew there were so many wintering ones at Capitol Lake in Olympia. There was also about a dozen of trumpeter swans.

Went to Cistus Nursery to get Opuntias for a project at Volunteer Park Conservatory. It was glochid hell (or heaven?) while i looked for and gathered plants, meanwhile my colleagues I rode with were probably having a blast with Sean Hogan. I still have stuck glochids in multiple parts of my body.

Dudleya caespitosa today. It has experienced 4 or 5 mornings with frost so far but I dont think I'm gonna leave out it if drops below zone 9 temperatures. So far it has only gotten to the freezing point here in Kent. #🌿

Kniphofia northiae is one of my favorite members of the Ashodelaceae and perhaps my second favorite plant at the center for urban horticulture

🌿Opuntia microdasys. Perhaps a monstrose form. It has rather chunky and stubby cladodes, which can be even thicker than those of normal plants of this species.

Not as much waterproofing lately. Still with the same company. Been with a new crew for 3 weeks. It's a relief to not be working with emotionally unintelligent family members.
