Unloved by Elon (who once tried to get me fired), disgusted at "conservatives" who turned out to be Trump cultists, hoping Democrats will get healthier, and wishing Congress would do its damned job.

1/ Delaware Supreme Court just released its opinion in Tornetta v. Musk. It's a big win for Elon Musk (though not for Tesla shareholders).

The opinion is "per curiam" (by the Court, rather than signed by any particular justice).

SpaceX, having realized it has no chance of complying with its contractual Artemis III NASA deadlines, has decided the next best thing is to use US taxpayer funding to rescue Elon Musk from his Cybertruck fiasco.
A Tesla Cybertruck is 223.7 inches long. 1,000 Cybertrucks, bumper to bumper, is 3.53 miles long. The Texas Starbase facility is just over 1 mile long. Just think about 2,000 Cybertrucks in that space: 7 Cybertrucks, side by side, bumper to bumper, the whole length. haha

The role of Bloomberg in elevating Musk is fully appreciated by the One Who Knows Most about Tesla's fraudulent promise that EVs could bring us to the zero emissions promised land.
Bloomberg spent years running cover for Tesla's bullshit in the name of the Inexorable EV Transition, but now Musk is the wealthiest guy alive and gleefully consigning thousands in the global south to death while his EV sales flop they're like "hmm, maybe hybrids are the way, actually"
EV Sales Growth Is Slowing. Are Hybrids the Solution?

Investors in the upcoming SpaceX IPO will be acknowledging that they enjoy being abused spouses.

As @jaberwock22.bsky.social has noted, the $30B raise at $1.5T valuation is designed to allow insiders to fleece retail baggies.

nobody ever officially found out how Tesla miraculously turned around Model S sales in the last month of Q1 2013, and now they don't even have to try to hide it... that's progress, baby!

Think what you may of Karl Rove, he most decidedly has excellent advice for Donald Trump. Advice he's been offering for months now.

Trump, incapable of being other than the lazy, stupid, narcissistic ignoramus we know so well, is certain not to take it.

SpaceX is proposing a $1.5tn valuation but is only placing $30bn of shares in the IPO.
Existing shareholders will hold 98% of the shares. By limiting the number of shares on the market, they may be able to slowly sell off without tanking the share price, leaving the retail rubes holding the bag.

Tesla is in full panic mode after a CA judge ruled that they deceived customers by saying Autopilot & FSD are "fully autonomous" even though they're not.

They're downplaying it, saying no one complained.

They forgot the FSD fraud class action in CA with 20K+ members (Case No. 3:22-cv-05240).

The inestimable Ed makes an excellent point.

I'm convinced, and I'll take this as a win.
anyone who is totally sure that Elon Musk would prefer to humble himself before unelected California bureaucrats, give up the name "Full Self-Driving," and admit that it was misleading over losing a month of sales in California might want to think about how they are modeling his decision making
OK, so it looks like California DMV is actually giving Tesla an out on this... if Tesla stops calling it "Full Self-Driving"

this is... disappointing, but still a win

Just out of curiosity, do I have a large gap in my historical knowledge about oil, land, and assets that Venezuela took from the United States? Sometimes my mind wanders in class so it is totally possible
Trump: "Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled ... It will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before — Until such time as they return to the USA all of the Oil, Land, and other Assets that they previously stole from us."

Just my personal opinion, but I would stay the hell away from anything related to Oracle, Nvidia, OpenAI, xAI, etc.
Oracle’s 10-Q “detailed $248 billion of lease-payment commitments, ‘substantially all’ related to data centers .. but they’re not yet included on its balance sheet ..

“..’CreditSights analysts called the lease disclosure a ‘bombshell.’”

Exactly this.
He's scared. Tesla sales are tanking, California is about to rule that "Full Self-Driving" is false advertising, Starship keeps blowing up, SpaceX loses too much money to IPO, and XAI is burning $10 billion/year for the 4th place chatbot.

It's over, he knows it, and only corruption can save him.
