Maybe concrete steps to rejoin the customs union/single market would make the bond markets less jittery about increased borrowing in the interim period, reducing the need for tax increases.

And would demonstrate seriousness about moving on from 'managed decline'.

Since 2010, majorities were given to parties led by Cameron, May, Johnson and Starmer. Now it's Farage the next saviour. An unbroken series of mediocrities (and worse in the case of BJ and NF).

I went to see TPATH on one of the later tours, a few years before Tom died. I was quite astonished at the end to realise that there had been only one song that I did not know.

He slipped a great body of work into the R'nR canon almost surreptitiously.
