Oftentimes I start with pinch pots but I’m starting to like building solid. Gives me a little more freedom when deciding gesture.

It doesn’t need to be hollowed out. But! It would then be imperative that the piece is fully dried before firing. Despite being built as a solid sculpture, I did cut this guy in half and hollow him out, mainly because I didn’t want him to be a paper weight 😂
