my cat was initially apprehensive when i approached him (admittedly a bit too quickly) with this playing on my phone in hand, but by the end he was purring and happily accepting face rubbins and butt slaps.

working on my next project. pokemon tcg players, beware: something itchy this way comes…..
a pair of to-scale sketches of the pokemon Budew, viewed from the front and the side, made on a piece of fabric. a nearby yardstick shows the illustrations to be a life-sized 8 inches tall. a tiny sketch in the top left corner shows the budew with a more menacing expression and its buds opened, with some sort of banner stretched between the two halves. the text “GET ITCHY” is written beside it, with an arrow pointing to the banner. the beginnings of a prototype plush is being held in front of the blueprint sketches. its sized properly, currently only consisting of a body with some loose fabric bits atop its head in leu of its buds. along with the previously pictured prototype, ive also constructed what appears to be just a simple sphere and some sort of rounded sack. the little sphere now sits inside of the prototype body which has had a small window cut out for the character’s face to show. budews cute lil face has been drawn on the sphere :>

finally finished that Manectric recently! my buddy loved it :)
a popymer clay sculpture of the pokemon manectric. it is portrayed running across a grassy field, mid leap. it has a fierce expression, its snarling, open mouth revealing its teeth. the sculpture viewed from the side. the sculpture viewed from behind. did you know manectric has crescent shaped paw beans? :) the sculpture viewed from a 3/4 angle.

anyway, time to restart that manectric sculpture again lol. 3rd times the charm.
a wire sculpture armature of a quadrupedal figure. the body and thighs are bulked up slightly with aluminum foil, and there is a thick wire sticking down out if its abdomen with which it can be mounted onto a base.

a sculpture of the pokemon manectric in its very early stages. the wire and aluminum foil armature is still exposed on the legs, while the body and head are covered with a thin layer of super sculpey. a long wire protrudes from its belly. the sculpture is now posed as if it is running and is fully covered in a thin layer of clay without detail, only outlining the basic anatomy.

ive decided to go w the gift idea for the sculpture so… im gonna be sculpting manectric!
i was originally imagining some sorta cool perched pose like on the left, but i think i wanna do a cool mid dash pose like on the right.
