I agree but am conscious that the Biden experience is evidence people don't necessarily credit the govt for the tight labour market when done, think you have to complement with (or do via) more visible "government things" like improvement of public services/welfare state

Tbf I think coming out of a U Chicago Econ PhD is also gonna leave a mark one way or another, pretty extreme negative polarisation being one of the options
