Move along, nothing to see here.
Dreaming of a bloody Xmas and a visit from the slasher Santa.

These Evernight editions of The Lake Witch by @sgj.bsky.social are almost too beautiful to read. Almost.

Well, this sneaked up on me. Tonight's viewing sorted. Have you seen it?

A skirmish at a border station
A canter down a dark defile
£10,000 of education
Dropped by a 10 rupee jezail
The woods are lovely, dark and deep
But I have promises to keep
And miles to go before I sleep
And miles to go before I sleep
Which lines of poetry live rent-free in your head?

I was raking around for something to watch the other week and I found this. It sounded familiar.

Did you have a guest on who mentioned this? Maybe an Off Book episode?

This beautiful little thing by Neil McRobert @talkscaredpod.bsky.social

A quality story so well written. I could picture the places and hear the voices so clearly.

If you see, quote post with a robot that isn't from Star Wars, Star Trek, Dr Who, or Transformers.

Can you see in the dark?
Can you see the look on your face?
The flashing white light's been turned off
You don't know who's in your bed
It takes more than fucking someone you don't know
To keep warm
🎶 Sunrise, wrong side of another day
Sky high 6,000 miles away
Don't know how long I've been awake
Wound up in an amazing state 🎶
🎶If Jesus came to Earth today, they’d crucify him straight away,
Upon a cross of MDF, and they’d use No Need For Nails🎶

A nice wee surprise in the bookshop this morning. Wasn't expecting to see this for a couple of weeks.

Finally got around to reading this after @igreggreene.bsky.social recommended it.

Excellent stuff. The best collection I've read since Burn The Plans by Tyler Jones.

@crobertcargill.bsky.social can we get The Town That Wasn't Anymore as a movie, please.

Finished reading Where I End this morning and, damn, it's good.

Been a long time since I've read a book that isn't just consistently creepy but that consistently escalates the creepiness.

The Dark And The Wicked levels of relentlessness.
Just recorded a huge conversation with Sophie White - about her devastating horror novel, WHERE I END.

We go all over the damn place for 90 minutes – horrors of all kind.

I hope you like it when you hear it. But buckle up.

Flew through this one and had a great time with it.

The very definition of "Well, that escalated quickly".

An absolute belter from @claymcleod.bsky.social

A super-charged rocket ride through a demonic apocalypse.

Pizza cutters, blenders and TV remotes - The Evil Dead 2 is strong in this one.
