I'm not sure what your polling results are exactly, but back of the napkin: if 13% of UK men between 20 and 35 joined the British Army, Navy or RAF: that's a force of 1,417,000 men under arms with out a draft.

It will get worse. Vance can't be flattered. But also yeah. 100% We must elect to become worse.

South of the Mason-Dixon? I'm from PA and was a little shocked when I went to NC for my grandfather's funeral; wake was basically a big party.

Time to start jailing Americans that conduct illegal political activity and PNGing diplomats for the same.
December 6, 2025 at 3:29 PM
Don't let them off like this. Someone got this dumb and bankrupt on their own.
December 5, 2025 at 11:19 AM
Who are the major authors of this?
December 5, 2025 at 7:34 AM
Too bad they're all wrong. It belongs to the imperial citadel of St. Malo. It's les iles Malouines after all.

Hell yeah

Those are all choices. The money and time and excess defense articles to accomplish what should have been done in 2022 existed and we chose, in Brussels and Washington, to take half measures and slow walk.
November 22, 2025 at 1:43 PM
And we are exactly where we are today because of the choices we have made; not because of any inevitable material condition. I thought on 28 February there would be a flood of every conceivable tool to Ukraine; training camps in Romania; etc etc but was stunned to see it never materialise.
November 22, 2025 at 11:55 AM
God damn them.
November 20, 2025 at 11:20 PM
Rodd Vought is running wild at OMB with a super DOGE program and the government is shut down. What are you even talking about?
November 9, 2025 at 8:52 PM
Almost worse, it makes me think they spent the SNAP money on like ICE ops.
November 8, 2025 at 10:01 PM
Aw man, plaster is going to come off when we peel that tacky temu shit off, isn't it?
November 8, 2025 at 8:37 PM
Yes.
November 8, 2025 at 8:00 AM
You're in Cabaret or something. Not 1984.
November 8, 2025 at 5:28 AM
1984 is on what it's like to live behind the iron curtain in a left-wing authoritarian state, written at a time when it wasnt clear that Communism was a bad idea. The Trump people are looking to destroy the state, lift oligarchs, and appear to not be at war at all. Its only similarity is post-truth.
November 8, 2025 at 5:25 AM
Hollowing out the state wasn't in 1984. Stop cringe quoting a Brit writing about Stalin like some high school libertarian to equivocate Bush and Trump people. They're not the same.
November 8, 2025 at 5:10 AM
This isn't as insightful as you think. Orwell was critiquing Stalinism at a time when it wasn't clear the West would win and when Kim Philby just rolled up the UK and Lithuania's entire resistance network. You're in a new world and need to make your own critiques and language.
November 7, 2025 at 10:37 PM
That the American political class neither understand their role in the world nor the gravity of the invasion of Ukraine and what it meant. As a diplomat, I wanted to hurl objects at walls and/or Biden political appointees for most of 2012/2022/2023. Shocking lack of area knowledge and stupidity.
November 5, 2025 at 7:39 PM
Yeah, bingo American attitudes on Europe and the American role in the world, to the extent that they exist, are equally cooked on the Left and Right. His election might be good for Americans, but I totally agree that it's irrelevant for Atlanticism.
November 5, 2025 at 7:26 PM
Smedley Butler might have some prophetic words on this.
