Mountains, Motorcycles, Music, Star Trek, Dogs, Good Books, Good Bourbon- not necessarily in that order. Oh yeah, and sometimes I’m a lawyer

Why is “political violence” an “Oh My God! We must stop this!” moment? While the nearly weekly murder of innocent school children is merely a “thoughts and prayers. Nothing we can do because My Freedom” moment?… priorities in America

If the Party of Jan 6 wants less violent rhetoric, I’d suggest they lead by example.

If we use tax money to provide heath care to poor people, super rich people won’t be able to afford to go to space … as often.

Republicans are “afraid” to speak up because you “fear” getting primaried?!
People are being snatched off the streets, losing human rights.
That’s what your constituents now fear.
Members of Congress are supposed to be leaders. STAND UP. Uphold your oath of office.

Good to know some in the GOP are willing to draw a line somewhere. Too bad it’s only at loss of money, not human rights or democracy.

Dear all media sources,
If you now require my email to read articles, I will stop following you. Sick of everyone demanding my personal info, then selling it and/or shrugging when it gets stolen.

So the guy who was screaming about election security now says we don’t need it anymore… Hmm…

A concise and accurate sit-rep.
We’re officially in full airport mode all the time now: everything is crazy expensive, sweatpants are acceptable at all times, nobody’s judging anyone for drinking more than they usually do, and we’re all just out here buying books and coffee to deal with the stress

We may never be able to track down the full extent of the damage Trump allowed Musk to inflict in the last two weeks.

Elon Musk is a terrible president.

This. Get Musk Out of Our Government. Now.
While Trump has been distracting America with everything else, Elon Musk’s staffers are quietly taking over NOAA and the Department of Labor. They are also using AI to help rewrite a significant portion of the federal government’s computer systems.

It’s helpful to have good neighbors.
California’s on fire, and while the GOP is busy blaming DEI and concocting conspiracies, Canada and Mexico are busy saving lives.
Thank You to Canada and Mexico
Bless you.

The L.A. fires are not the first time Mexicans have shown up to help Americans in a crisis. I recall the Mexican Navy showed up to lend a hand in the other LA after Katrina nearly wiped out New Orleans. Perhaps it’s time for Us to think of Them as neighbors, instead of “others.”

Is this why libraries are such a threat?

Social Security and Medicare are not government handouts. We pay for those benefits in advance. And are entitled to receive them when we reach the set age. “DOGE” can keep their unelected and unwanted hands off our money and our benefits.

Sometimes when somebody asks me what’s wrong it’s that I’m afraid I won’t accomplish anything important before I die, and sometimes it’s that the TV volume is on an odd number or the dishes were dirty so I had to use the weird spoon for my cereal and that’s why I just say “nothing” most of the time

I have zero confidence our U.S. Congress possesses the courage and integrity shown by the S. Korean Assembly this week in defense of democracy. I sincerely hope they prove me wrong. Time will tell #U.S.Senate #U.S.House
