Even foreign news channels are not telling us much more than the mainstream news here in the US. I saw this starting when trumpy got into office the first time but it did reverse. Now it has greatly increased. If we are not getting all the facts then we are probably getting lies.

I spent Thanksgiving with some GenZ'ers; their consensus is, to a greater or lesser degree all politicians are corrupt, venal and stupid; and the future they expect is a dog-eat-dog struggle for jobs, water, food, and medicine because capitalism fucked up the planet and no one gave a shit.
