Just finished Jess Walter’s So Far Gone. Feels good that I can still count on him to use fiction to express so many inexplicable feelings that so many of us are experiencing right now.

We swapped our required reading book from Lord of the Flies to Of Mice and Men (thank god) which gave me more time, so now I’m also doing A Raisin in the Sun in semester 1. I need a second novel, short, female author to contrast with Antigone for semester 2. Any ideas?

Stockholm, you’re excellent. And expensive. But excellent nonetheless. I’ve gotta get my money up!

I love Stockholm and this was a delicious meal, but also a $50 meal & that’s why it’s gonna be five years before I can afford to come back here 😅

Called the American Agatha Christie, but I disagree 🤭

Cross-posting because everyone needs to see one of my favorite things as a teacher: when my students use me as a character in their work. 💫

Not to brag, but (some) of my students actively tell me they love me & I always say it back.

Antigone is such a short play, but it’s packed with so many A-ha! moments, it was kind of startling to come back to it as an adult.
