The idea that content online isn't just.. people being people but something to *consume* paired with the idea that you've made it in life if you've got some arbitrary numbers online is deeply damaging :(

Masking helps stop disabled people like me dying, being excluded from society, and avoids passing on this kind of preventable illness. But if that’s not worth the tradeoff for you, consider protecting yourself. Just think about if you really need your face uncovered while sat silently on a train

It’s hard to describe the scale of loss and isolation of going from busy and active and healthy to being unable to live independently or do most things.

It's exhausting trying to talk about this, but covid is still around, and the most common cause of post-viral illness like mine--
