I've seen the musical several times, so a bit disappointed it's not the whole show

What do you mean part 2? Is it not the whole musical? I was so excited to watch it!

As a general rule in the Nordics: Children have rights. Parents have obligations towards the child.

But I wish there was a focus on how Child Protective Services can help families who need it. In most cases, several different help initiatives and assistance are offered to families before a child is removed. If the parents are already afraid of CPS, it won't benefit the child.

I don't think such series is dangerous to Sweden or Scandinavia per se, but there is already a lot of fear amongst parents, especially refugees and immigrants, of the Child Protective Services. Of course, investigative journalism and debate is always welcome.

Although I know a child is not removed from the home purely on a basis of having gained weight, I see a million ways this could be the perception of the parents because there is a lack of culturally appropriate information.

the information to be understood culturally, and they don't take the time to gain this knowledge. They do their best, but there seems to always be cuts in funding when more money and expertise is needed.

A child will not be removed from the home for gaining weight. That doesn't happen.

I work predominantly with children who are not "ethnic Norwegian", and I see a lot of cultural clashes and misunderstandings because Child Protective Services doesn't know how to translate

Producers of such series need to acknowledge that the stories shared by parents will never be commented on regarding a specific child, as they have a right to privacy. There is no way to verify what parents say. It is disturbing that a child in this short clip is not anonymised.

Hva med å spørre om hvorfor de syns det er greit å fortelle barn fra tidlig alder at de havner i helvette om de tenker eller føler "feil"?
