I learned the resignation email 2+m of us federal employees received this week was the exact same as the former Twitter employees before they were terminated.

I will have 19 yrs combined service in Mar. I work hard for our nation's Veterans, despite their complaints & suspicion of care from the VA.
From OPM.gov: Why am I being offered deferred resignation? The federal workforce is expected to undergo significant near-term changes. As a result of these changes (or for other reasons), you may wish to depart the federal government on terms that provide you with sufficient time and economic security to plan for your future -- and have a nice vacation. Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) memo, dated 28 Jan 2025: pause on special emphasis programs and related activities and events To include - Martin Luther King, Jr. birthday, Black History Month, Women's History Month, Holocaust Day, Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Pride, Juneteenth, Women's Equality Day, National Hispanic Heritage Month, National Disability Employment Awareness Month, and National American Indian Heritage Month. The pause will not affect federal holidays. DIA will also pause Agency Resource Groups, Affinity Groups, and Employee Networking Groups effective immediately and until further notice. Below are our top FAQs: Q: Am I expected to work at my government job during the deferred resignation period? A: No. Q: Am I allowed to get a second job during the deferred resignation period? The way to greater American prosperity is encouraging people to move from lower productivity jobs in the public sector to higher productivity jobs in the private sector. You will also accrue further personal leave days, vacation days, etc. and be paid out for unused leave at your final resignation date.
