There is a thin line between journalism and being an accomplice in this case. It seems Wolfe stepped over it in these emails in which it is clear he is not just gathering information but advising a pedophile and human trafficker. It's, at best, a bad look. At worst, it's criminal, and he knows it.

It was also a time when every adult in the neighborhood knew who you were, had your parents phone number, and would holler at you to go home if they caught you out after the street lights were on. That way of childhood went away when the village did.
