Senator Alex Padilla was fulfilling his Congressional oversight duties when he was thrown to the ground and handcuffed.

This is no isolated instance; this is a pattern of behavior by the Trump administration.

There is simply no justification for this abuse of authority.

Senator Padilla was forcibly removed from DHS Secretary Kristi Noem’s press conference in Los Angeles while attempting to ask a question.

Padilla was thrown down and handcuffed. A senator in his own state! (He has since been released.)

The Trump regime is out of control.

I’ve taken the Senate floor and will speak for as long as I’m physically able to lift the voices of Americans who are being harmed and not being heard in this moment of crisis. Watch here:
