Rs are the ones who WANT this. Lower taxes, no govt subsidies on healthcare. They've done all they can to dump ACA since Day 1. We-Dems-are the ones whose party's stated principles inc. govt-subsidized healthcare, healthcare & food for the poor et al. So YES it's up to DEMS to stand up for it.

If Hegseth did, Jones would, but many GOP AGs would not. Speaking of reckless driving, SD AG Jason Ravnsborg drove SO recklessly he killed a man, left the scene and called 911 claiming he hit a deer. Ken Paxton was indicted, investigated for fraud, sued, impeached, et al. See below for IN & LA AGs.
