“Girls mature faster” is one of those lazy, gaslighting lines society throws out to justify why girls and women are forced to adapt and perform adulthood sooner—because of pressure, risk, and expectations that boys simply aren’t subjected to in the same way. It’s not biology. It’s forced adaptation.

For as long as you’ve been alive (and frankly, for as long as there’s been public schooling in the U.S.), the dominant conservative project has been to produce a population that’s compliant, easily managed, and too under-resourced—intellectually and materially—to organize for change.

Congress will posture and tweet, but the machine keeps running. Only thing left is mass refusal—workers, city officials, ordinary people saying no & making it stick. That’s how things have changed. Til then, DHS & ICE will do whatever they want, no & “sternly worded letters” keep doing nothing.

If the DNC had any sense of self-preservation or conscience, they’d be soul-searching and figuring out how to become the party of bold, unapologetic change. Instead, we get endless appeals to “decency” and “bipartisanship” while basic rights are getting shredded and MAGA fantasizes about mass purges

It's 🤯 how much this USA has gone to 💩 in the last 20 years by every measure: housing costs, food cost, life expectancy, maternal mortality, child poverty, book bans, hate crimes, medical cost, surveillance, incarceration, labor exploitation, a total breakdown of social trust. It's incomprehensible.
