You say that, but for the 30 years I lived in MI, the first snow was reliably by the 14th of Nov. (Family birthdays help to remember this)

I’ve seen beautiful crochet, but for the life of me, I cannot follow the patterns. I can’t read the stitches like I can in knitting (says the woman who frogged two rows of a stranded colorwork hat tonite to fix a mistake 😁).

Fine with me. I drink Peet’s at home and if I’m out I prefer local coffee shops. Sbucks is my last resort these days.

In all fairness, I’d let the lace slide…lord knows I swore off it years ago, even before progressive lenses. Life is too short. A dropped stitch in DK for sure. But I know Alice would take him down a notch or two!

I was just about to comment that I’d like them to challenge him to knit with sock weight yarn on double pointed needles! Ridiculous.

Apple sauce, apple turnovers with premade pie or puff pastry, dried apple rings in dehydrator or oven on very low heat for ages.

Assuming this is the Tom Daly show, I have no desire to watch, based on the ad alone. Just curious if fashion shows bother you for the same reason? I think they are a waste of time, but never thought about the wasted material before.

So sorry for your loss. May the memory of him be a blessing to your family.

Yeah, I grew up an only child in an apt full of childless adults. Everyone there my parents knew was an aunt or uncle to me, even though we were not related in the least.

No. Three top contenders are not baked long enough, too wet to start, or pot wasn’t hot enough (you’re supposed to heat the oven for 30 min before baking, but I generally don’t, because I find that wasteful. I try to keep it to 15).

Oh, I always freeze bread. It tastes fine 🤭, it just made it difficult to slice, and now I have a messy pot to clean. 🫤

Having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that SV was airing a decade or more ago…been rewatching it slowly and damn, it still hits true to me.

What an awesome idea! I mean, I usually have knitting with me if I’m headed to a coffee shop, but if I didn’t, I’d totally knit on them!

You could try a cowl as a stepping stone. You can practice joining to knit in the round, but you don’t need to decrease as you do for hats.

When I was little, my mom loved lemon curd. She never offered it to me, so I grew up thinking it must taste gross because of the name. Only a handful of years ago did I discover my mistake. Love it.Try cranberry next! You can also make w/olive oil, and in the microwave! I use my Vitamix, too!
